Failure Mode Effective Analysis Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
Failure Mode Effective Analysis - Essay Example In the following years, it was employed in the aerospace industries to eliminate errors in the industry due to its use of massive funds. It then spread across many other manufacturing industries throughout the world ever since. Today its use is slowly entering the service industry. There are numerous approaches and methods of FMEA have been created by researchers across the very many professional fields besides engineering. FMEA is various forms whereby some are more frequently used compared to others. They include concept FMEA in which we have design FMEA and process FMEA. FMEA has for many decades been used by researchers in the early design concepts to analyze systems and subsystems. An investigation of FMEA single failures of the system was involved in the identification of the failure modes, the causes and the results of each possible failure mode on the service and developing appropriate corrective measures. FMEA when extended by Criticality Analysis process (CA) it became the Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). On their analysis, they provided the description and a review of FMECA fundamental principles, methods enhancements, types, automation and available computer codes, how it is combined with other techniques applications of particular types. An approach that analyzed the design work guidelines, product features analysis, review of product design and work design team building model was later developed. This model described the application of tools for a design like the design for assembly (DFA), FMEA and quality function development (QFD). DFA implementation was monitored in three products development projects in a period of two years. They concluded that DFA method was able to be used for four purposes that correspond to GAPT model levels. The method led to more cooperation between production engineers and designers and better communication. The outcomes

I don't have a topic it just needs to not be ethical, moral or Research Paper
I don't have a topic it just needs to not be ethical, moral or religious in answering a policy question - Research Paper Example Many states in the United States, for example, are enacting laws that require corporate organizations to accommodate needs of domestic violence victims through granting leave (Martin, 2013). Understanding the root cause of domestic violence, and other forms of violence, may however inform the legal approach to the problem. Protecting children from witnessing instances of domestic violence, according to Oââ¬â¢Brien, Cohen, Pooley, and Taylor, reduces possibility of the childrenââ¬â¢s engagement in domestic violence during their later stages of life (2012). This is consistent with Cycle of Violence theory that explains transfer of domestic violence traits from parents or other people in an environment to children and suggests that laws on domestic violence more stringent may be a long-term solution to the domestic violence problem (Gonzalez and Corbin, 2011). Domestic violence is a significant social problem whose implications extend to financial scopes. Its psychological and physical effects on victims reduce their potentials that even force them out of employment to grant them legal leave from duty. While a legal approach has failed to reduce incidences of domestic violence in the society, despite its perceived able framework, protecting new generations from experiencing or witnessing domestic violence may be a long-term solution to the problem because of its hypothesized ability to reduce aggression in the new generation (Martin, 2013; Gonzalez and Corbin, 2011). The study is significant in understanding significance of violence experience during childhood and the long-term cause of domestic violence in the society. Its results will determine the significance and establish a basis for legal policies that can address the problem. Establishing significance of childrenââ¬â¢s exposure to domestic violence will mean that strict laws, im plemented over a generation, are necessary for a long-term solution to

Marijuana Should Be Legal Essays -- Legalization of Marijuana
Abstract The following is a proposal for a public policy that would legalize marijuana and have the drug be treated as alcohol. This is necessary because the current policy is detrimental to society and the legalization of marijuana would be beneficial. The prohibition of the drug is unfounded because tobacco and alcohol, legalized substances, are more dangerous than marijuana. Also, the legislation regarding the drug was created on racist sentiments, reducing the lawââ¬â¢s credibility. The current policy also creates a dangerous black market and renders our prison system ineffective. The legalization of cannabis would bring undeniable medical and economic benefits to society and the government. Varying degrees of marijuana legalization have proved that, if controlled, the drug is rarely damaging to a society or its population. In fact, the benefits of such legalizations seem to greatly outweigh the drawbacks, making legalization the only logical choice. The debate over marijuana is endless. Due to historical portrayals, marijuana is still often seen as a dangerous drug. This myth, however, is outdated. In fact, marijuana is actually a useful drug that, if legalized, would bring many positive consequences to society. Marijuana should be legalized and treated like alcohol with regards to its regulation. A change in the outdated federal policy of strict prohibition would be an advancement of society and its values. To begin with, the racial implications behind the enactment of the policy suggest that it should not have been enacted in the first place. Throughout the early 20th century, marijuana was associated with Mexican laborers in the United States. There was a strong racist sentiment towards Mexicans in America, especially in the Southwest. Consequently, elite Americans looked down upon marijuana use for its association with this particular group (Rowe 26-27). The drug was actually originally spelled ââ¬Å"marihuana,â⬠which is how the word appears in the 1937 Marihuana Tax Act that made marijuana illegal. The drug is now commonly referred to as ââ¬Å"marijuana.â⬠This happened with the help of William Randolph Hearst, a newspaper-publishing giant in the early 20th century. Hearst began calling the substance ââ¬Å"marijuanaâ⬠so it appeared foreign and became further associated with Mexicans (Gahlinger 34). Later, marijuana became associated with the jazz scene and Af... ... Adolescence Is the Unhappiest Time in Most People?S Lives
Adolescence is the unhappiest time in most people? s lives Most people agrees that adolesece may be the hardest time in most people's lifeà . Just like every period of life, being adolescent can be a pretty rough time. Some people says it is the unhappiestime, while other says it is the most happiest time in our life. but not everyone agrees that is the unhappiest time. So is the adolecense the unhappiest time in most people's lives? , I'm going to talk about the arguments for and against this statement and give my own opinion. It is true that adolesence is a very hard age, may be the hardest. Firstly because, is the time in wich the person is growing up, and has to get used to have more responsabilities. Also, there are some people that think this is because the adolecent are more sensitive than older or younger people and this is a reazon why to get upset for very silly razons. And, finally, some people thinks this is because, the adolecents aren't as free as they wished to be, an d this make them want to pass this part of their lives quicker. However, there are some people that desagree with this statement, and one of the mainly arguments is that is a very happy time for people because they don't have to worry about the resoult of their actions because they don't have as many responsabilities as they will have later when they get older. Another argument against this is that they, normaly, have more free time, and less stress. a time when they begin to discover who they are, they are becoming more independent, they are establishing friendships, and their bodies start developing. For many, entering into puberty can be a very emotional, stressful, confusing, and frightening time. Some make the change from childhood into adolescence with only a few minor problems, others however, may have a more difficult time handling the pressures and some may develop eating disorders as a way to cope. Some may enter into puberty early and be subjected to teasing by their peers. Many fear the weight that is gained during this time is permanent, will panic, and desperately try to take the weight off. They are not aware that once the physical changes during this time cease, their weight will usually stable off and go to their bodies natural set point, without the need for dieting. Adolescence Is the Unhappiest Time in Most Peopleââ¬â¢s Lives Adolescence is the unhappiest time in most peopleââ¬â¢s lives. It seems to me adolescence is a very important period for everyone as it forms their views on life. When you are young, parents bring up and teach you, you learn something by your own and become some life experience. Then you go to school where you get basic knowledge, find new friends, communicate and share your opinions with them. This time could be divided into three periods: personââ¬â¢s childhood, school time and the last is an university or college time. Each of them is extremely important as it influences on the further life of an individual. Some people state that adolescence is the unhappiest time for most people. It brings many accidents, bad experiences and, as a result, person can go, for example, in a crime world or drug addiction. These facts are followed after the bad upbringing and some problem families. Thatââ¬â¢s why these people state thar the adolescence is a very important time for a person an d during this time person is touchy so they(person is thouchy so they(he or she, leave it open)) could have a bad experience and it would influence a lot to his future. However, others are assured that adolescence is the happiest time in everybodyââ¬â¢s life. When you are young, you are not responsible for anything and you donââ¬â¢t have serious problems that should be solved. You donââ¬â¢t care about anything bad and enjoy spending your time with friends. Person goes to school where he gains some experience and finds new friends. They say, in most cases children have a good upbringing and only enjoy their life. It goes without saying, that the world of today is dangerous, however it mostly doesnââ¬â¢t influence on the person. If you ask me, I think adolescence is the most enjoyable time for everyone as it gives many opportunities for relaxation, education and entertainment.

The Sources Consulted For This Essay Are Ann Cooperââ¬â¢S
The sources consulted for this essay are: Ann Cooperââ¬â¢s TED talk: ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s wrong with School Lunchesâ⬠, where she explains the issues on how America is feeding and educating their kids about food, Mark Bittmanââ¬â¢s TED talk: ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s wrong with what we eatâ⬠, in which he explains the western dietââ¬â¢s consequences on health and environment, and from the book ââ¬Å"Food Mattersâ⬠; Brian Wansink and Collin R. This essayâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦But companies donââ¬â¢t care to show it, as long as there is still people paying for their products, so they keep on making us believe that what we eat is not so bad for our health. This takes very strategic marketing and we need to learn how to analyze labels and really think if what we eat straight out of a package is better than a fruit or a salad. A good example of how society is getting misleading education on how to feed themselves is well explained by Cooper in her talk (1:12): ââ¬Å"(â⬠¦) the way the government commodifies food, the way the government oversees out food, the way the USDA puts food on kidsââ¬â¢ plates thatââ¬â¢s unhealthy, and allows unhealthy food into schools.â⬠Cooper explains why health issues amongst young individuals are growing over the years, as well as mentioning in a very simple sentence who is responsible for this. Corporations that have the power to educate people and dictate what is allowed to offer at public schools have chosen not to. Children are growing up and thinking that the frozen, then fried or microwaved food they see at school is a normal and adequate meal. It can get hard to teach them this is not right when their parents and care takers are not educated in the matter either. This is why we see a
